Trinidad: 3 vitolas to celebrate 50th anniversary

With the celebration a few months ago of the 50th anniversary of the Trinidad brand, it is now the occasion for the three vitolas that pay homage to it to arrive at the Spanish cigar cellars with the well-known joy of the fans.

The three cigars that have just landed in Spanish tobacco shops bear such characteristic names as Esmeralda, Topes and Media Luna. They were presented at the 2019 International Habano Festival and will now form part of the brand’s regular portfolio.

With different formats, Esmeralda, Topes and Media Luna are absolute novelties that try to offer thicker stocks that become greater and better density of the smoke in its tasting, with deep shades of toast, wood and light spices.

Emerald. Its name refers to one of the most famous streets of the city of Trinidad, with a galley vignette called Dinoras, of 53 gauge, it is the longest of the three, with a length of 145 mm.  Its price is 14€ cigar and 168€ box of 12 units.

Stoppers. It was launched as a Limited Edition in 2016 and is now presented as a regular portfolio cigarette due to its great acceptance. It stands out for introducing for the first time the 56 strain in the brand, with a length of 125 mm. Its price is 15€ cigar and 180€ box of 12 units.

Half moon. It is the smallest of the three cigars, with a 50 gauge and a length of 115 millimetres (Marinas galley cigar). Its name pays homage to a majestic colonial house from 1830 located in the historical center of the city of Trinidad, and that today is a hostel. Its price is 11€ cigar and 132€ box of 12 units. All of them are well expressed in the blend of its interior, typical of the Trinidad brand, with a medium strength and a great aromatic level, without being pronounced in the form of edges in the mouth, although some big traces of selected and well aged tobaccos can be perceived.

Made in the famous Havana factory of El Laguito, where the Cohiba brand cigars are produced, the twisters that work the Trinidad leaves are specially chosen.

Trinidad is one of the most exclusive and sophisticated brands of Habanos and with it, it is a tribute to the Santísima Trinidad population located on the southern coast of Cuba, which was built during the 16th century and declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
