The unveiling of the\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #808080;\">long-awaited concept model has taken place and brings with it some very\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #808080;\">interesting new features. We must pay close attention to this concept car\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #808080;\">because it is the prelude to a new production model that will be signed by\u00a0BMW M.<\/span><\/p><p><strong><span style=\"color: #00b0ad;\">The design of the new BMW Concept XM<\/span><\/strong><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #808080;\">The new BMW Concept XM features a <b>distinctive exterior design<\/b>. It features the new, progressive front-end design of BMW&#8217;s luxury models. A concept that will be applied to production models for the first time in 2022. Starting our exterior review at the front, the first thing that catches the eye is the enormous grille made up of the distinctive kidneys. These are flanked by slim headlamps divided into two separate modules to form a new light presence felt on the front grille. The typical M double louvres are on the inside of the grille to increase the sense of width. In addition, the <b>new XM logo<\/b> can also be found on the grille. Large air intakes show that this is a high-performance car.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #808080;\">The side view reveals its SUV stance but hints at a coup\u00e9 influence. The stretched bonnet and roofline are two characteristic features of this model. The bodywork has a two-tone finish that combines Space Grey metallic and Gold Gronze with a matt finish. Also of note are the M <b>exterior mirrors and 23-inch light-alloy wheels<\/b>.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #808080;\">The shape of the rear lights and the way in which the rear window has been integrated are striking. BMW M features are evident in the driver-facing centre console. The brown leather upholstery with a vintage look is an element that connects with the sporting brand&#8217;s past. This is complemented by copper and carbon fibre.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #808080;\">The rear seats in the exclusive <b>M Lounge<\/b> provide a complete XM on-board experience. The rear of the passenger compartment is upholstered in Petrol-coloured upholstery. The rear seat cushion creates a space that invites you to relax and enjoy the ride. Special mention should also be made of the ambient lighting system, which can be configured in the three BMW M colours.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #808080;\">The &#8220;nerve centre&#8221; is the <b>BMW Curved Display system<\/b>. A grouping of screens to play the role of digital instrument cluster and display for the infotainment system. It is based on the latest generation of BMW iDrive with an M-specific version of the operating powertrain of the new BMW Concept XM<\/span><\/strong><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #808080;\">At the heart of the new XM Concept is an electrified powertrain. More specifically, the German company is opting for <b>plug-in hybrid technology (PHEV)<\/b>. The production model previewed by this concept car will be BMW M&#8217;s first electrified vehicle in the high-performance segment. It is a model that will set the brand on the road to the future.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #808080;\">The plug-in hybrid drive system <b>combines a V8 petrol engine with an electric <span lang=\"aa-ET\">engine<\/span><\/b>. Maximum output will reach <b>750 hp and 1,000 Nm<\/b> of peak torque. Equally important, the company points out that it has a <b>100% electric range of up to 80 kilometres<\/b>.
