EQXX<\/span><\/strong><\/h3><p><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Just take a quick look at the images illustrating this article to discover that in the design process of the new Vision EQXX has worked on a clear premise. And that is efficiency. <b>Being a 100% electric vehicle, the exterior design is key and decisive<\/b>. The surfaces move smoothly from the front, developing powerful shoulders above the rear wheel arches.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #808080;\">The new Vision EQXX has a drag <b>coefficient of just 0.178<\/b>, highlighting the performance and effort of the Mercedes team behind the design of this new electric vehicle. The front end makes a big impact thanks to the light band above the glossy black grille with rose gold highlights and flowing into the light clusters.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #808080;\">The side view brings out the elaborate shapes to maximize aerodynamic performance. In addition, and not least, <b>we have forged magnesium wheels and 20-inch size<\/b> whose design is equally aerodynamic. And they are wrapped in low rolling resistance <b>Bridgestone Turanza Eco tires<\/b>.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Finishing our tour of the exterior at the rear, we&#8217;ll find a retractable rear diffuser that deploys only when driving at high speeds. When retracted, it fits seamlessly into the overall bodywork. Throughout the exterior there are important design elements related to aerodynamics. The bumpers, side skirts and hood are a clear example of would be quickly enveloped by an atmosphere that exudes elegance, comfort and modernity. The brand places special emphasis on the goal of achieving an interior design as purist as possible. The absence of complex shapes and the perfect integration of the controls are key in this regard. <b>Lightweight and sustainable materials<\/b> have been used in the passenger compartment. There are no components of animal origin. For example, the door handles are made of Biosteel fiber from AMsilk. It is a high-strength fabric similar to silk. Another material that adorns the interior is the so-called MyloTM, a vegan leather alternative made from mycelium. The floor mats are made of 100% bamboo fiber. The use of environmentally friendly and sustainable materials has become fashionable and is being pushed as the electric vehicle gains popularity. Another example of this issue in the Vision EQXX is the use of <b>recycled PET bottles<\/b> to create a glossy new Mercedes Vision EQXX<\/span><\/strong><\/h3><p><span style=\"color: #808080;\">The main component of the rear structure of the new Vision EQXX is the so-called Bioneqxx, <b>the largest aluminum structural member used by Mercedes<\/b>. In addition to offering great strength, and therefore safety, it also helps to contain the weight of the vehicle. What&#8217;s more, a significant part of the components have been designed on the premise of achieving the lightest possible weight. The doors are made of a hybrid material of CFRP and GFRP. That is, carbon fiber reinforced plastics.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Once settled in the cabin we will realize that we are facing a <b>digital and connected vehicle<\/b>. The user interface consists of several screens. The first of these is completely transparent and extends from one A-pillar to the other. It is <b>47.5 inches<\/b> in size. With <b>8K resolution<\/b>, the slim and lightweight mini-LED display acts as a portal to connect the driver and occupants to the digital world. The infotainment system allows access to all kinds of digital online services and even the &#8220;Hey Mercedes&#8221; voice assistant can be used.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Solar panels have been installed on the <b>roof of the vehicle to capture energy and power many of the vehicle&#8217;s components and\/or accessories<\/b>. This energy collection system is also decisive in achieving the low consumption which, in the end, means having a long range on a single charge. In a single day, and under ideal conditions, the solar panel system can provide up to 25 kilometers of autonomy.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #808080;\">The solar energy is stored in a lithium-iron-phosphate battery. It supplies energy to an air conditioning fan, lights, multimedia system, etc&#8230;<\/span><\/p><h3><strong><span style=\"color: #00b0ad;\">Autonomy of the new Mercedes Vision EQXX<\/span><\/strong><\/h3><p><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Beyond the technological equipment, the most relevant is undoubtedly the propulsion system. At the heart of the new Vision EQXX is a <b>lithium-ion battery with a usable content of less than 100 kWh<\/b>. The electrical system is 900 volts maximum. The declared energy consumption is less than 10 kWh at 100 kilometers and therefore the range <b>exceeds 1,000 km<\/b>.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #808080;\">The system produces a power output of around <b>150 kW (204 hp)<\/b>.
