Italy is at the forefront of implementation, while countries such as Germany, Belgium and Greece are developing large-scale plans and others, such as France, have a fairly advanced project.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #808080;\">In the case of Spain, the regulations for 2024 require the use of e-invoicing for all commercial transactions in the private sector with a turnover of more than 8 million euros; other companies have one more year to implement.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><h5><strong><span style=\"color: #00b0ad;\">E-invoicing contributing to the environment<\/span><\/strong><\/h5><p><span style=\"color: #808080;\">One of the main objectives of e-invoicing is to <strong>reduce the environmental impact of the production<\/strong>, handling and disposal of paper. Each million paper invoices requires 10,000 kg of wood, and sending these million invoices electronically would significantly reduce the CO2 emissions from the energy required to produce the paper.<\/span><\/p><h5><strong><span style=\"color: #00b0ad;\">Electronic invoicing process<\/span><\/strong><\/h5><p><span style=\"color: #808080;\">In the electronic invoicing process, a digital representation of the invoice is created, which usually follows a structured and standardised <strong>format, such as XML (Extensible Markup Language)<\/strong>. This data file contains all the necessary information on the invoice, such as details of the issuer, receiver, invoiced items, taxes, etc.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Electronic invoicing offers a number of benefits, such as reducing the costs associated with printing and physically delivering invoices, streamlining accounting processes and improving the traceability of business transactions. It also facilitates the integration of invoicing into IT systems and the automation of accounting processes.<\/span><\/p><h5><strong><span style=\"color: #00b0ad;\">Types of electronic invoices<\/span><\/strong><\/h5><p><span style=\"color: #808080;\">There are various types of e-invoices, and the classification may vary according to each country&#8217;s regulations and standards. However, in general, some common types of e-invoices can be identified. Generally, there are two types of e-invoice:<\/span><\/p><ul><li><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><b>Electronic invoices in a structured format:<\/b> They are easily read by computer systems. In other words, they are coded so that the computer can manage the information automatically. For this reason, they are usually produced in XML (e.g. Facturae or UBL).<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><b>Electronic invoices in unstructured format:<\/b> are those that need to be typed in by the recipient (e.g. a PDF document).<\/span><\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-695d899 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"695d899\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-cfe50df\" data-id=\"cfe50df\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1b408c0 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"1b408c0\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Currently, the e-invoice is saving 3,300 pine trees per year since its widespread implementation.<\/span><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-7b4d54d elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"7b4d54d\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-8274eb5\" data-id=\"8274eb5\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1aa34ee elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"1aa34ee\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h5><strong><span style=\"color: #00b0ad;\">Electronic invoicing requirements: what you must have in your digital invoice<\/span><\/strong><\/h5><ul><li><span style=\"color: #808080;\">The number and serial number of the invoice, which must be sequential.<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #808080;\">The date of issue of the invoice.<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #808080;\">The transaction date of the invoice.<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"color: #808080;\">The company name of the issuing and the receiving company.
