We have been in a bittersweet outlook in terms of socio-economic issues in our country: the Spanish institutional paralysis threats a really divided population that is truly disgusted with the politicians.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

However, while the economy grows, despite of the appearance of new economic growth opportunities, most of them are not carried out due to the lack of government.<\/span><\/p>

During the economic crisis years, we tried to take advantage of the situation (there was no other choice) by going one step further and improving efficiency: for example, in early 2012, the creation of the Commission for the Reform of Public Administration (CORA) which is part of the reform process initiated by the Government, which was trying to overcome the worst economic crisis in decades, to go over the issues that were stopping economic growth, and to establish the basics that will show the path that should be followed in order to create employment and economic prosperity. The Council of Ministers made the CORA conduct a comprehensive study of the Public Administrations in order to identify the areas of improvement and to find measures to be adopted to make them more agile, efficient and closer to citizens. Although it is a good measure, is it enough?<\/span><\/p>

The crisis ends, but the efficiency motivated by cut backs should remain. Efficiency is not a sporadic task, it is not a purpose that is said in a speech and then put aside, it is a daily practice.<\/span><\/p>

There is still a lot to improve in the Administration, especially in terms of efficiency, and possibly the private sector can be an example to follow when optimizing costs, given the experience of private companies in the rationalization of resources.<\/span><\/p>
