Within our Spanish cellars, we already have a luxury quartet of recently arrived cigars that will delight us with their flavours, aromas and strengths as the new course opens.
Cigar lovers can kick off this new season with a magnificent collection of new cigars that will accompany us on the everyday after-work with the splendid company of our friends and colleagues whenever possible.
Since we are used to picking our favorite cigars from the shelves of our cellars, there is no doubt that the arrival of new cigars is always very welcome among cigar enthusiasts. In Spain we have a total of 56 tobacconists that have been catalogued as Specialists in Habanos, to which we must add another 148 that have the status of so-called Habanos Point.
The Habanos Specialist and Habanos Point programs are aimed at points of sale specializing in tobacco, which distinguish themselves by their dedication to Premium tobacco, presenting a wide range of Cuban cigars, all of which have received top notch training and have the best conditions for preserving the product.
Among the new products that have been made available in the cellars, we would like to highlight La Flor de Cano Mágicos, the exclusive regional edition for Spain for 2020, a cigar that is very rich in nuances, medium strength and easy to smoke, and which guarantees that its generous amount of tobacco will make us enjoy it for a little longer than those of the same size.
Another newcomer is the Hoyo de Monterrey Le Hoyo de Río Seco, a new thick gauge and high grammage cigar that adds to the Le Hoyo Series after the incorporation of the Le Hoyo de San Juan cigar in its day, which continues to enrich this historic line and the range in larger sizes, not very present in the brand until now, all with rich traces of well-cured and aged tobacco.
And of course, the most recent one, since the cellars have opened at the beginning of the summer, is the Punch Short de Punch, a brand that incorporates for the first time the 50 strain in its portfolio, since it has always had medium size thicknesses.
With a medium strength type (3 out of 5) this Punch Short has a magnificent shot and presents rich nuances in which wood and spices are in the forefront, with a very even burn, which makes its tasting in just under three quarters of an hour a very pleasant perception of flavors and aromas.
We can also find in our cellars of preference the Montecristo 85 Aniversario, which is an exclusive edition for the Spanish market, of the vitola generically called Montecristo No. 3, a limited series of 2,000 numbered cases, which pays tribute to the brand created in 1935 in Cuba.
The cigars, reviewed one by one, have followed a process of aging for at least 10 years, which causes the wrappers to darken slightly and become smoother and silkier, while the flavor settles, and the aroma, strength and body are slightly attenuated.
This is the quartet that can make cigar lovers enjoy these next months with a true symphony of quite new flavors and aromas in the midst of the leisure time we can find.
