OUTSTANDING PROJECTS

Housing in Ausiàs March, Barcelona

The project deals with the building envelope, creating a dialogue with the classic architecture of Barcelona’s Ensanche, giving, in turn, a response through a facade that is a compliment to light. It is an urban project that represents Mediterranean notions of domesticity: natural light, the relationship between private and collective space, interior and exterior.

All residential spaces revolve around a central element that houses the kitchen equipment, celebrated as a meeting place.

Seatowers office building, Barcelona

Located in the innovation center of Barcelona, this complex has a connection with the exterior planned as a vertical garden that allows working outdoors. Therefore, from all offices there is access to terraces that function as a space for both professional and leisure socializing.

Kozmo Hotel, Budapest

Rehabilitation of the largest telecommunications center in Eastern and Central Europe from the early twentieth century, the project creates a compositional tension between the classical language of the building, historical and cultural heritage, and the contemporary character of the design and art pieces, marked by an intellectual concern for local culture. It is an urban hotel that generates destination, enhancing the spaces with a sober and elegant design, characterized by noble materials and details that dialogue with the city.

Superyacht Experience

GCA Architects has extensive experience in superyacht interior design, the most representative example being the interior design of the sailing yacht Nirvana, which won the international award at the Superyacht Design Awards 2007, the 2008 design award at the 18th Monaco Yacht Show and the 2008 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.

GCA’s careful design is characterized by a balance between comfort and perfor- mance, focused on the well-being of the user.
