The interior design studio signs this project, in Bilbao, based on two concepts: natural and cozy. Raquel Lázaro, at the head of Lázaro Estudio, manages to create environments that perfectly represent the soul and personality of a business. The specialty of this young studio is commercial interior design and it shows in this new project that focuses on body and health care.
UP & YOU Gym, The Miller restaurant and Bamboo Yoga room (C/ Manuel Allende, 18. Bilbao)
A complete three-in-one to take care of body, mind and food without leaving the same space, because gym users are increasingly demanding the most complete experience possible in the shortest possible time. A cozy place in which, wisely, Lázaro Estudio has opted for a simple and direct language, with a chromatic palette that moves in whites, wood and greens and furniture by Ethnicraft, Thai Natura, &tradition and lamps by Jaime Hayón. From the entrance counter, with a front clad with curved walnut panels, announces what we will find inside: a space that welcomes with the organic and rounded shapes of the furniture.
Inside Yoga Bamboo, we are immersed in an almost mystical environment where “the walls are covered with a very natural lime stucco, which is necessary for the wall to breathe, since in Bikram Yoga – the specialty taught here – the room reaches high temperatures and a high degree of humidity” says Raquel Lazaro. The backlit round mirrors and the Japanese-style lanterns complete the scenery.
This oriental air, but also Nordic – Japanese style – returns in the lounge, with wooden armchairs and blue velvet; and coffee table from the Scandinavian company &tradition. The ceiling lamps are the Formakami model by Jaime Hayón for &tradition. It is an interior design that places special emphasis on details.
With an elegant aesthetic, The Miller gastronomic space invites you to relax with a healthy meal after a good dose of exercise. Its motto is: to eat is human, to eat well is divine.
The blue benches are designed by Lázaro Estudio, with fabric from Sumbrella. The Thai Natura chairs stand out next to Nordic armchairs from &tradition and lamps from the same brand designed by Jaime Hayón. A set of sophisticated Nordic design. The bars are made of the new Xtone material, by Porcelanosa Group, and the fronts are covered with panels of curved slats in walnut tone.
