Lía, Pradorey’s trend-setting rosé, has arrived

Lía 2021 is renewed inside and out, adapting its image to new trends while maintaining its traditional sophisticated look. With peach aromas, it is fresh and pleasant, and goes perfectly with salads, dried fruits and creamy cheeses. Clearly not to be missed in the aperitif, there are only 7,866 bottles and they are flying!

The original Pradorey ‘family’ (Carretera CL-619 (Magaz-Aranda) km 66, 1. Gumiel de Mercado, Burgos. Tel. 947 54 69 00. www.pradorey.es) is made up of 14 references and among its ‘transgressor’ wines -because this Ribera del Duero winery likes to change the rules- is Lía, the rosé that cannot be missed when we think of terroir, summer, aperitif, postureo… It has been on the market for 10 years, but this 2021 vintage is loaded with novelties, inside and out, to bring out the ‘influencer’ in us.

Lía 2021 is made with organic tempranillo and albillo from their La Recorba estate, a plantation at just over 800 meters above sea level, 100% organic. Its color is reminiscent of French wines from Provence, very clean and bright. It is pressed without maceration and fermented in steel tanks. The nose is dominated by stone fruits such as apricot or peach, with a touch of strawberry, cherry and essences of rose and jasmine, always transmitting a lot of freshness. The palate is tasty, with an aftertaste of ripe fruit, long, persistent and dynamic.

In addition to these changes, it has a renewed, fresher and more delicate image that takes us towards the natural, inviting us to enjoy each glass. The whole is very fresh and ideal for terroir, informal but elegant, and above all, perfect for ‘cooling down’ on the hottest days. It harmonizes perfectly with salads -and white asparagus-, nuts -especially almonds and hazelnuts- and soft creamy cheeses. Its price, 8’15 €, also makes it an essential ‘complement’ at aperitif time; of course, there are only 7,866 bottles and they are flying…

Pradorey (www.pradorey.es) –yes, with an ‘r’ but sounding double and in one word- is boldness, passion, intuition and freedom; something that is already reflected in its particular idea of Ribera del Duero, an idea that is drunk through 14 references, each one with something to say and its own ‘personality’: its three Imprescindibles -Origen, the surprising Rosé and the singular Blanco-; the three de Fincas -the extraordinary Valdelayegua, the elegant La Mina, and the exceptional Real Sitio de Ventosilla-; three more sophisticated and fun, the Transgresores -the bohemian El Cuentista, the influencer Lía we told you about here, and the trendy Sr. Niño-; two unique, Signature, such as Adaro -a tribute to the founder, Javier Cremades de Adaro-, and the exclusive Élite; a Collection jewel such as the handcrafted El Buen Alfarero, made in jars, and another within the reach of only a few due to its exclusivity, El Retablo. To enjoy them, nothing better than to do it in situ, visiting the winery and traveling through time with its wine tourism proposal and in its Inn, a jewel of Herrerian style dating from the 17th century where Rubens, Lope de Vega or Felipe III once spent the night. In its practical online store https://www.pradorey.es/tienda-online/, where there are always interesting promotions, you can purchase the wine that best suits your tastes and receive it anywhere in Spain.
