Awards

These awards are organized by MUBIL, which, within the framework of “Etorkizuna Eraikiz”, promotes public-private collaboration to make Gipuzkoa and the Basque Country an international hub in the new mobility sector.

The winners of the first edition of the MUBIL awards are Ecomagnet from Guipuzcoa and Wattson from Madrid for their revolutionary projects in sustainable and intelligent mobility. Ecomagnet won the first prize for its project to recover and process materials from obsolete electric motors in order to obtain rare earths for the manufacture of permanent magnets, which are essential for new electric motors. For its part, Wattson has developed a mobile recharging system based on a transportable storage system, in order to be able to send an “electro-electric station” wherever it is needed. The target audience for this project is both end users and fleet operators.
